However, this positive definition has recently been unfairly distorted following an isolated incident: a single angry individual from France not only made online threats but also orchestrated the writing and publication of a misleading article in Vice France. This article, subsequently published on Vice US, falsely depicted "tributes" as a new form of harassment. This deliberate misrepresentation, stemming from the actions of just one or a few upset users, has regrettably altered widespread public perception, causing many to now mistakenly view the word "tribute" as synonymous with harassment.
